Energy consumption represents upwards of 6% of the hospitality industries operating costs. Considering that a large portion of the energy consumption is at the hands of the consumers the hospitality industry faces significant challenges. Given this consumption, and rising energy costs, energy efficiency is now well understood as a sound business practice. There are also increasing benefits in hotels capitalizing on their energy efficiency efforts to build a reputation as a green hotel. However the challenge for the industry is factoring in these environmental considerations while trying to reconcile commercial needs.

In an effort to maximize profits hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, etc. need to do everything possible to reduce energy consumption. AEECI continues to work within this broad spectrum to try and achieve the customers’ energy saving goals.
